ANIMATION MEDIA CREATORS REGION STUTTGART
LOCATION.
Baden-Württemberg has been Germany‘s top location for animation and visual effects for many years. No other federal state has such a high density of animation and VFX studios. The creative professionals in these studios have received numerous internationally renowned prizes – including Oscars, Emmy Awards, Annie Awards, VES Awards and the Deutscher Computerspielpreis Award.
NETWORK.
Behind this remarkable success is the work of the Animation Media Creators Stuttgart Region (AMCRS). The network, initiated by MFG Baden-Württemberg in 2009, consists of more than 35 VFX service providers, animation studios, games and interactive studios as well as universities and academies all based in Baden-Württemberg. AMCRS thus bring together many local small businesses and regional freelancers in Baden-Württemberg. They connect more than 2.400 creative professionals, depending on the project situation.
The focus of the AMCRS lies in the development and expansion of strategic and organisational structures. These concentrate the capacities in Baden-Württemberg, something which, in turn, is of great relevance for international film production companies. The AMCRS create the necessary framework conditions to guarantee the security and quality desired by potential clients, even in large international projects. In this way, the MFG promotes the interdisciplinary and international work of these creative professionals.
PROMOTION.
Furthermore, Baden-Württemberg plays a decisive role in animation and media due to its excellent training offer. Every year, alumni of the internationally renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, the Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart, the Offenburg University of Technology, Economy and Media, the Trossingen University of Music and of the Media Studies degree at the University of Tübingen (part of the German Universities Excellence Initiative) establish themselves in the film industry. The aim of the MFG funding and the work of the AMCRS is to strengthen the film industry in Baden-Württemberg for these talents.

MISSION STATEMENT
Baden-Württemberg is a central European region for animation media at the highest creative, artistic and technical level.
Through strong regional support and cooperation between the various industries, the members of the AMCRS create in-house and commissioned productions as well as world-class services in all areas, from animation to VFX and games.
