FMX 2026: THE ROAD AHEAD

This year’s FMX – Film & Media Exchange will be the 30th edition – a welcome opportunity to honour the past, survey the present and discuss the future of the creative industries. 

Many of the pioneers who pushed the art and the technology forward over the past three decades have found their way to Europe’s leading conference on visual effects, animation and digital media creation. In the center of Stuttgart, they have shared their expertise and inspiration with an audience of more than 3,000 peers and students from around the world. 

And they continue to do so: Under this year’s theme THE ROAD AHEAD, FMX is setting the stage for speakers who are shaping the future with their confidence, resilience, and creativity in the midst of the ongoing transformation of media and entertainment. The creative industries have a history of constantly reinventing themselves, and FMX is the place to discuss, share, learn, and network. 

The French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry once argued: “Our task is not to predict the future, but to make it possible.” Welcome to FMX 2026!
