Gretels Gold specialises in the development and financing of animation projects and family entertainment formats, with the aim of telling touching stories for young and old alike. 

Our projects are based on national and international bestsellers, which we adapt in close collaboration with the original authors in order to preserve the essence of the stories. In addition, we develop original material together with well-known national and international authors. 

The development, financing and realization of our projects are equally important to us. Our managing director, Gisela Schäfer, has more than 25 years of experience in film industry and close relationships with companies such as LEONINE, Studio100, ZDF, ARD and Edel Kids. International collaborations, including in the Benelux countries, France, Spain, India, Italy, Malaysia and Singapore, form another basis for our projects. 

Gisela Schäfer has already realized numerous successful productions such as the feature films ‘The Ogglies – Welcome in Smelliville’ and ‘Yakari – A Spectacular Journey’, other TV series such as ‘Henrietta’ and hybrid productions such as ‘Beutolomäus and the real Santa Claus’.

The feature film ‘The Ogglies – Rexy Alarm! (WT)’ is currently in production, and the special ‘My Trip with Drip, as well as the Ogglies-TV-Series ‘Jolly Funfair (WT)’ and the feature film ‘BIRDS – Over the Roofs of Paris’ are in development and financing.
