In the year 2000, five creatives left MTV to launch a new studio in the Lower East Side of New York City where art, story and technology would be pushed to the edge.

What started in a bar with a Flame suite in the bathroom has grown into a globally recognized, mixed-media powerhouse. After 25 years, Psyop continues to be a brand known and trusted for creative excellence that moves people visually, emotionally, and culturally.

Psyop has offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Stuttgart, Berlin and Mexico City. The first European office opened in Stuttgart in 2021, when longtime Creative Director & VFX Supervisor Matthias Bäuerle moved back from New York City.
