The bestselling children’s book “The Unicorn That Said No” (“Das NEINhorn”) is coming to the big screen. Produced by X Filme (producers Uwe Schott and Nicole Kellerhals) together with our HEROES from studio soi (producer Carsten Bunte), and distributed by Warner Bros., the animated feature is set to premiere in cinemas on January 1, 2027.
The film is directed by the book’s author Marc-Uwe Kling and Johannes Weiland, with a screenplay by Marc-Uwe Kling and Marcus Sauermann. The project is funded by MFG.
At the 2024 Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS), the screenplay received the German Animation Screenplay Award, sponsored by the Animation Media Creators Region Stuttgart (AMCRS).
