GGJ goes THE LÄND: Kokolores Ludwigsburg

Global Game Jam goes THE LÄND 2026 – From January 26 to February 1, 2026, it’s time to design, code, and create amazing things once again: the Global Game Jam, the world’s largest game event, is coming to THE LÄND! Game studios, companies, universities, associations, and (cultural) institutions in Baden-Württemberg are organizing their own “sites” – locations where local game jams take place – often in collaboration with other stakeholders from their region. GGJ goes THE LÄND is coordinated by MFG Baden-Württemberg & Games BW and funded by the Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg, in partnership with game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e.V. Baden-Württemberg. The goal: to strengthen cooperation and expertise in game development, game design, and game art – regionally, interdisciplinarily, and across university and company boundaries.

The Kokolores Creative Collective e.V., in cooperation with the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and the Wirtschaftsförderung Ludwigsburg, is also taking part. GGJ goes THE LÄND: Kokolores Ludwigsburg will take place from Monday, January 26 to Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Filmgalerie of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Akademiehof 10, 71638 Ludwigsburg.
There are still free spots available. Registration and further information can be found here.

Start-up Monday in Ludwigsburg

On 17 November 2025 from 17:00 CET, the Wirtschaftsförderung Stadt Ludwigsburg, together with the agency Pulsmacher, invites everyone to a new edition of the Start-up Monday in Ludwigsburg – an event for aspiring founders, young start-ups, entrepreneurs, and everyone interested in the start-up scene and the creative industries.

At the next Start-up Monday, the impulses will come directly from one of Ludwigsburg’s key creative hubs: Pulsmacher’s neo.Office.

The evening’s topic will be something all founders know all too well: mistakes with consequences – also known as “fuck-ups”. Stories of failure will take center stage and aim to inspire learning as well as laughter. Anyone who would like to share their own story on stage is welcome to contact Max Höllen (m.hoellen@ludwigsburg.de) with their failure story.

Program:
17:00 CET: Admission
18:00 CET: Welcome and introduction of the neo.AI Lab
18:30 CET: Keynote by Katharina Aguilar, founder of UpVisit: “Heulen im Hoodie – Was wir aus dem Scheitern unserer Träume über Zukunft, Führung und Mut lernen können”
Katharina Aguilar offers a radically honest look at entrepreneurship – the tears between term sheets, the weight of responsibility, the quiet moments after the noise, and why it is often exactly there that something new begins.
19:00 CET: Fuck-up Pitches

Venue: pulsmacher GmbH, Kammererstr. 18, 71636 Ludwigsburg

KUNST. KI. KONTROLLVERLUST: July 31 to August 2, 2025

The opening of KUNST. KI. KONTROLLVERLUST (ART. AI. LOSS OF CONTROL, July 31 to August 2, 2025) will be marked by a showcase on Thursday, July 31, from 17:00 CET, titled KUNST. KI. KREATION (ART. AI. CREATION). The exhibition will feature, among other works, interactive and audiovisual pieces by students of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg’s Animationsinstitut, including the immersive AI installation “LIMBO,” which explores memory in the digital age. Additional graduation projects such as “Sensual,” based on hundreds of hand-painted watercolors, and “Gaïa,” which artistically envisions a planet-body inhabited by humans, address the theme of corporeality in visually powerful ways. The program is complemented by “UTOPIKUM,” a project by the creative lab Tinkertank, which invites visitors to actively co-create visions of the future on the Franck Areal.

On Friday, August 1, from 16:00 CET, the focus shifts to the intersection of art, technology, and entrepreneurship. Under the title KUNST. KI. KOMMERZ (ART. AI. COMMERCE), creatives, start-ups, and interested participants will gather for the “Meet-up der kreativen Intelligenz.“ During an open stage format, students, artists, and start-ups will present their projects. Guided tours of the showcase will follow. Registration for KUNST. KI. KOMMERZ is requested here.

On Saturday, August 2, from 16:00 CET, the event KUNST. KI. KAFFEE (ART. AI. COFFEE) invites visitors to participate and explore. Guided tours of the exhibitions offer deeper insights into the media art projects on display. The groups “Drink & Draw Ludwigsburg” and “Drink & Draw Stuttgart” will gather for drawing sessions and urban sketching in the industrial setting of the venue. An open discussion format titled “Auf einen Kaffee mit der KI“ will provide space to talk about artificial intelligence, the public sphere, and the future – approachable, understandable, and open to diverse perspectives.

The full program with all times and details is available online at www.ludwigsburg.de/art-ai.

The exhibited projects LIMBO, Sensual, Gaïa, and UTOPIKUM will be open to the public on all three days. No registration is required for KUNST. KI. KONTROLLVERLUST, and admission is free.

Venue: Franck-Areal, Pflugfelder Str. 31, 71636 Ludwigsburg

KUNST. KI. KONTROLLVERLUST is a joint project by the Fachbereich Kunst und Kultur der Stadt Ludwigsburg, the Wirtschaftsförderung Stadt Ludwigsburg, and the Animationsinstitut of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

Additionally, participants will get to know regional support programs and key contacts.

Ahead of Stuttgart Animated Week, the Studi Stage, part of the Open Stage Games BW on March 12, 2025, in Stuttgart, offers a great opportunity for initial networking and exchanges. The official kickoff of the TALENT Meet-up BW 2025 program will take place on May 5, from 14:00 to 16:30 CET in Stuttgart, bringing participants together to start the week. To wrap up the eventful days, a Get-Together on May 9, from 12:30 to 15:00 CET provides a space for sharing experiences and reflections.

Specifically for talents and start-ups from Stuttgart, Wirtschaftsförderung der Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart offers additional support: Through the FMX NEW_Comer program, they have the opportunity to secure a booth, a workshop slot, and a speaker badge at FMX 2025 (for more information, please get in touch with Hannah Schneider at hannah.schneider@stuttgart.de).

Start-Up Monday at the Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg

The first Start-Up Monday in 2025 will be held on February 10, 2025, organized by the City of Ludwigsburg in collaboration with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg‘s Animationsinstitut and the Kontaktstelle Frau und Beruf Ludwigsburg – Region Stuttgart. The event will take place at the Filmakademie, Filmgalerie, Akademiehof 10 in Ludwigsburg.

After a presentation and discussion of the “Ludwigsburg gründungsfreundlich” (Ludwigsburg Founding-Friendly) concept, the event moves into the Prompt Arena under the guidance and moderation of Florian Schweer.

Starting at 16:30 CET, institutions supporting startups will introduce themselves, providing an opportunity for direct exchange – with Baden-Württemberg International (BW_i) | Start-up BW | Senioren der Wirtschaft e.V. | MFG Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg mbH | IHK Region Stuttgart Bezirkskammer Ludwigsburg | bwcon und Accelerator M.Tech | Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH (WRS) | S-Wagnis der Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg | Kokolores Collective.

At 18:00 CET, Ludwigsburg’s Mayor, Dr. Matthias Knecht, will officially open the evening program with a panel discussion featuring experts on the three key focus areas of Ludwigsburg’s startup strategy: creative industries, tech startups, and female founders. What are best practices? To what extent do these areas complement each other, or are they in competition? Which support programs are truly effective for the target audience? What are their needs and expectations?

Around 19:00 CET, it’s time to say, “Welcome to the Prompt Arena!” Prompting is a hot topic right now, as so-called prompts are used to give commands to AI. This interactive and entertaining format invites the audience to watch eight participants live as they use generative AI in the creative process. Here, you can experience prompting up close and see the results for yourself.

If you’d like to actively participate in the Prompt Arena, you can sign up with Max Höllen (m.hoellen@ludwigsburg.de) – teams are also welcome!
