Gesucht wird eine Persönlichkeit, die den Gestaltungsbereich der Fakultät Medien verstärkt. Die künstlerisch-wissenschaftliche Professur soll den Grundlagenbereich der Animation im Bachelor, sowohl in analogen, als auch digitalen Techniken praktisch und inhaltlich abdecken und Grundprinzipien der Animation vermitteln. Die Vertiefung der Kenntnisse im 2. Studienabschnitt und die konzeptionelle, praktische und technische Betreuung studentischer Projekte sowohl im Bachelor, als auch im Master, von der Idee bis zum fertigen Werk, gehören ebenfalls zu den Aufgabengebieten.
Abgedeckt werden sollten nach Möglichkeit die Schwerpunkte Illustration, 2D / 3D Animation, Motion Design, Stopmotion, Games, AI gestützte Tools, Kenntnisse der Animations- und Kunstgeschichte.
