Nominiert in dieser Kategorie waren für „Woodwalkers 2“ die VFX Supervisors Max Riess und Mona Mohr von PIXOMONDO sowie „Die Schule der magischen Tiere 4“ – beide Produktionen wurden von der MFG gefördert.

Der Film „In die Sonne schauen“ wurde mit der Goldenen Lola für den Besten Spielfilm ausgezeichnet und erhielt insgesamt zehn Lolas. Unter den an der Produktion beteiligten Filmschaffenden finden sich zahlreiche Alumni der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Die Auszeichnungen erstreckten sich über nahezu alle kreativen und technischen Gewerke – von Regie und Drehbuch über Kamera und Schnitt bis hin zu Szenenbild, Kostümbild, Maskenbild und Tongestaltung. Bereits 2023 hatten die Regisseurinnen Mascha Schilinski und Louise Peter für das Drehbuch zu „In die Sonne schauen“ den Thomas Strittmatter Preis der MFG erhalten.

Die Visual Effects Society hat die Nominierungen fürdie 24. VES Awards bekanntgegeben! Mit den Auszeichnungen werden weltweit herausragende künstlerische Leistungen und Innovationen im Bereich der visuellen Effekte sowie die VFX-Supervisors, VFX-Produzent*innen und Künstler*innen, die diese Arbeit zum Leben erwecken, gewürdigt. Mit im Rennen sind die Effekte von Projekten von AMCRS-Mitgliedern.
Auf die Nominierten-Liste in der Kategorie OUTSTANDING VISUAL EFFECTS IN A STUDENT PROJECT kam „A Sparrow’s Song“ (Team: Tobias Eckerlin, Vincent Maurer, Elias Weber, Lilli-Luisa Heckmann), einem Diplomprojekt aus dem Animationsinstitut der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Das Projekt gewann bereits den Student Academy Award in Gold, befindet sich auf der Shortlist für den Oscar 2026 und wurde jüngst für den Annie Award 2026 nominiert.
RISE FXkann sich über eine Nominierung in der Kategorie OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENT IN A PHOTOREAL FEATURE freuen – für „The Lost Bus; Feather River Canyon by the Pulga Bridge“ (Team: David Schulz, Mareike Loges, Björn Markgraf und Philipp Hafellner).
