„Bye-bye lens grids?! Distortion and exposure fall-off workflows reinvented“
Marius Jerschke
Business and Ecosystem Development Manager Digital Cinematography
Marius Jerschke from Zeiss takes a closer look at the distortion workflow and its importance for compositing and matchmoving work. How do the traditional methods like lens grid work and what are their drawbacks? Marius will compare these approaches with a new Zeiss servie that provides frame-accurate distortion data for VFX work with only a few clicks.
„Programmable optics for computational photography“
Andreas Engelhardt
Universität Tübingen
As computational imaging and optics converge new application specific camera designs emerge, reaching beyond the model of the human visual system.Adding a spatial light modulator (SLM) to the optical system of a camera enables modulation of thepoint spread function (PSF) programmatically, for example. This talk explores some of the applications and implications of jointly optimizing programmable optical elements and task specific reconstruction algorithms in the context of computational cameras.
