Ausschreibung Professur für IT-basierte Mediensysteme an der HdM
Projekt „Zugzwang“, Hochschule der Medien
Die Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart hat in der Fakultät Electronic Media im Bachelor-Studiengang Audiovisuelle Medien eine Professur für IT-basierte Mediensysteme ausgeschrieben. Die Kernthemen sind Netzwerktechnik, Audio-Video Übertragung über IP-Netzwerke und Systemplanung von vernetzten Produktionssystemen. Arbeitsbeginn ist ab Wintersemester 2024/2025. Die Bewerbungsfrist endet am 18. Januar 2024.
Erwartet wird ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (wie z. B. AV-Medientechnik, Informatik, Informationstechnik, Nachrichtentechnik, Elektrotechnik oder eine ähnliche Fachrichtung), mehrjährige Berufserfahrung, Lehrerfahrung und eine einschlägige Promotion.
Zu den Aufgaben gehören insbesondere: Durchführung von Lehrveranstaltungen sowohl im Pflicht- als auch im Wahlbereich auf Bachelor- und Master-Niveau, Betreuung von Projekt- und Abschlussarbeiten, Kooperation mit der Berufspraxis (auch im Rahmen von Lehrprojekten).

TechTalks Vorträge online!
Bei der TechTalks Stuttgart Eventreihe werden technische Themen aus den Bereichen Visual Effects (VFX) und Animation für Wissenschaftler*innen, Kreativschaffende, Studierende und die interessierte Öffentlichkeit präsentiert. Nach den Impulsvorträgen kann spontan in eigener Sache zum Mikro gegriffen werden.

„Winkelauflösung einer simulierten Lichtfeldanzeige.“ | Sophie Kergaßner, Audiovisual Media (M. Eng.) an der Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart Sophie Kergaßner arbeitet aktuell an der Hochschule der Medien an ihrer Masterarbeit. In diesem Kontext hat sie vor Kurzem eine Publikation zum Thema „Bewertung der Winkelauflösung einer simulierten Lichtfeldanzeige im Hinblick auf Dreidimensionalität, Bewegungsparallaxe und Seherlebnis“ veröffentlicht, die sie uns vorstellen wird.

„VFX Creature Rigging und Simulation.“ | Lukas Kapp, Freelance Creature TD // Student am Animationsinstitut der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg Lukas Kapp studiert Technical Directing am Animationsinstitut der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Er präsentiert seine Arbeit zu Creature Rigging und Simulation für das Ghoul-Projekt (VES Award 2023 für „Outstanding Visual Effects in a Student Project“). Im Rahmen seiner Forschungsarbeit an der Filmakademie beschäftigt er sich außerdem mit dem Einsatz künstlicher Intelligenz für Rigging-Aufgaben.

Sie richtet sich an alle, die sich für Film, Fernsehen und die Wissenschaft hinter bewegten Bildern interessieren – Kreative, Technical Pioneers und Studierende, die sich für beruflich in diese Bereiche orientieren möchten.
Über die Veranstaltung:
How will films and TV shows be produced with new technologies in the future? What new skills will we need in the process? How will virtual worlds, visual effects and animations be created and which experience and knowledge is useful in production? International speakers from the film & tv industry will discuss these questions during the event on the topics of virtual production, high dynamic range and wide color gamut.
Pablo Garcia Soriano and Nick Shaw about the creation of the NBU-LUTs used for HDR-SDR simulcast In the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022. Christina Caspers-Römer and Christian Kaestner from the “1899” Netflix Series will speak about their studio setup and the challenges of Virtual Production. Presenters from Pixomondo will give insights to their very own workflows for Virtual Production. International cinematographers like Philippe Ros (AFC, ITC), Dave Stump (ASC, ITC), Daniel Schua, Julia Leber and colorists as Dirk Meier (CSI, BVK, ITC) and Steffen Paul (“1899”) will give insights to their experiences in LED-lighting, cinema productions or commercials.
