Thomas Strittmatter Preis 2026 verliehen

Die Drehbuchautoren Duc-Thi Bui und Philipp Lutz sind Preisträger des von der MFG Filmförderung gestifteten und mit 20.000 Euro dotierten Thomas Strittmatter Preises 2026 für ihr Drehbuch zum Drama mit dem Titel „Malibu“. Das Drama erzählt von den 17-jährigen Jonas und David, die sich während ihrer Krebserkrankung auf der Onkologie kennenlernen und eine enge Freundschaft entwickeln, in der schließlich Nähe und Liebe aufkeimt.

Die dreiköpfige Fachjury, bestehend aus der Regisseurin und Drehbuchautorin Laila Stieler, der Regisseurin und Autorin Güzin Kar und der Medienforscherin Anna Kokenge würdigte alle drei nominierten Drehbücher mit Laudationen. Überreicht wurde der Thomas Strittmatter Preis vom Staatssekretär des Ministeriums für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg, Arne Braun, und MFG-Geschäftsführer Carl Bergengruen im Rahmen eines festlichen Empfangs während der 76. Berlinale in der Landesvertretung Baden-Württembergs. Die weiteren Nominierten des Strittmatter Preises 2026, Stephanie Fies und Romina Küper erhalten für ihre Drehbücher „Running High“ bzw. „Hyperbaby“ jeweils 2.500 Euro.

Über 700 Gäste, darunter Filmprominenz wie Natalia Wörner, Louise Peter, Bayan Layla, Sylvaine Faligant, Michael Baral, Anne Ratte-Polle, Susanne Wolff, Marc-Uwe Kling, Purnima Grätz, Andrea Guo, Emma Bading, Helge Mark, Viet Pham, Wanja Mues feierten beim MFG-Empfang in der Landesvertretung Baden-Württemberg. Auch Vertreter*innen der AMCRS waren zahlreich zu Gast, z. B. Filmschau Baden-Württemberg (3.-7. Dezember 2025)

Die 31. Filmschau Baden-Württemberg lädt vom 3. bis 7. Dezember 2025 in den Stuttgarter Innenstadtkinos das Filmland Baden-Württemberg glänzen: Fünf Tage, 130 aktuelle Filme aus dem Südwesten, glamouröse Premieren und spannende Gäste. Die Filmschau Baden-Württemberg, das Landesfilmfestival in Stuttgart, wurde 1994 auf Initiative des Landes Baden-Württembergs ins Leben gerufen und wird vom Filmbüro Baden-Württemberg e.V. ausgerichtet. Sie fand erstmals im November 1995 als eigenständige Veranstaltung statt und lockt jährlich mehr als 6.000 Besucher an.

Im Wettbewerb um den Baden-Württembergischen Filmpreis werden die besten Produktionen von fünf dreiköpfigen Fachjurys in den Kategorien Bester Spielfilm, Beste Dokumentation, Bester Kurzfilm, Bester Animationsfilm und Bester Werbefilm ausgezeichnet. Preise im Gesamtwert von bis zu 10.000 Euro werden verliehen. 

Stark im Programm vertreten sind auch Mitglieder der AMCRS, u. a. zahlreiche Projekte von Alumni und Studierenden der baden-württembergischen Film- und Medienhochschulen.

ITFS Animation Special & Premiere „Alles voller Monster“

Die MFG Baden-Württemberg und das Internationale Trickfilmfestival Stuttgart laden ein zur Baden-Württemberg-Premiere von „Alles voller Monster“, im Rahmen des ITFS Animation Special am Samstag, 18. Oktober, 15:00 Uhr, im EM 1 (Innenstadtkinos Stuttgart). Anschließend erfolgt ein Filmgespräch mit Produzentin Sonja Ewers und Regisseur Steve Hudson.

Alles voller Monster

Das ITFS und die Entstehungsgeschichte von „Alles voller Monster“ (engl. „Stitchhead“) sind eng verknüpft. Beim Festival 2020 gewann das Drehbuch den von den AMCRS gesponserten Deutschen Animationsdrehbuchpreis – dem Preis für das beste Drehbuch für einen langen Animationsfilm. Auf dem ITFS 2025 Anfang Mai präsentierte Regisseur Steve Hudson ein Making-of, vom illustrierten Kinderbuch bis zum gerenderten Animationslangfilm.

Am Entstehungsprozess beteiligt waren auch unsere CREATORS von LAVAlabs und PIXOMONDO. Die Produktion erfolgte durch Gringo Films (Sonja Ewers), Fabrique d’Images, Senator Film Produktion, Traumhaus Studios, Mia Wallace Productions, Senator Film Köln.

Darum geht’s:
In einem Schloss erweckt ein verrückter Professor monströse Kreaturen zum (Fast)-Leben… und vergisst sie prompt wieder. Wer kümmert sich um das Schloss und die Monster, wer bringt ihnen bei, NICHT monströs zu sein? Stichkopf – die allererste Kreation des Professors. Er macht die ganze Arbeit, bis eines Tages der „Fahrende Jahrmarkt unnatürlicher Wunder“ des zwielichtigen Zirkusdirektors Fulbert Freakfinder in die Stadt zieht. Der braucht dringend eine neue Attraktion und verspricht Stichkopf Ruhm, Reichtum – und Liebe.

Nominierungen für den Deutschen Filmpreis 2025 bekanntgegeben!

Die Deutsche Filmakademie hat vor wenigen Tagen die Nominierungen für den Deutschen Filmpreis 2025 bekanntgegeben. Auf eine LOLA können auch Mitglieder der AMCRS hoffen!

In der Kategorie „Beste visuelle Effekte“ sind für „Woodwalkers“ Max Riess, Sven Martin und Bernie Kimbacher von PIXOMONDO nominiert – Sven Martin ist Absolvent des Animationsinstituts der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. An der Erstellung der VFX für den auch als „Besten Kinderfilm“ nominierten Film war zudem unter anderem LAVAlabs beteiligt.

Ebenso nominiert in der Kategorie „Beste visuelle Effekte“ wurden Teams von RISE. Sie können sich sogar über Nominierungen für gleich zwei Produktionen freuen – Jan Stoltz und Franzisca Puppe für ihre Arbeit an „Hagen – Im Tal der Nibelungen“ sowie Robert Pinnow für die Effekte in „Das Licht„. Auch Jan Stoltz hat am Animationsinstitut studiert.

Am 9. Mai 2025 werden im Theater am Potsdamer Platz die Lola-Gewinner*innen gekürt. Wir drücken allen Nominierten die Daumen!

Filmschau Baden-Württemberg (4. bis 8. Dezember 2024)

Die Filmschau Baden-Württemberg, das Landesfilmfestival in Stuttgart, findet jährlich an fünf Tagen Anfang Dezember in den Innenstadtkinos Stuttgart statt – dieses Jahr feiert sie vom 4. bis 8. Dezember ihr 30. Jubiläum. Präsentiert werden rund 120 Filme von Profis aus der Branche und dem Filmnachwuchs der baden-württembergischen Ausbildungsstätten. Zu sehen sind Spiel-, Kurz-, Animations-, Dokumentar- und Werbefilme, darunter viele Premieren.

Sie wird vom Filmbüro Baden-Württemberg e.V. ausgerichtet.
